GREEN PASTURES BASS CLUB
                                           2020 TOURNAMENT RULES
1. The Green Pastures Bass Club is a Christian Organization, and we encourage our members to exemplify a Christian attitude, in respect to conduct, language, honesty and integrity. All contestants must strictly follow the guidelines set forth in here in. it is each contestant’s responsibility to read and understand these rules. Entrants may be disqualified for noncompliance and be required to forfeit all prize money and / or entry fees. Each entrant agrees that by signing a membership form the decisions of the tournament directors will be final in all respects. Green Pastures Bass Club and its directors reserves the right to adjust tournament fees, dates and schedules for just cause.
2. PARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY:
Participation in club tournaments is for non-members and  members of the Green Pastures Bass Club who are in good standing.  Non-Members do not participate in big bass roll overs or any of the Club Members benefits. Chairman and Club Directors are eligible to participate in all Green Pastures Bass Club events and are subject to the same rules, rights, and privileges as any other member. Green Pastures Bass Club reserves the right to refuse or deny entry to anyone who has been previously disqualified from any fishing tournament for a serious violation. Contestants must catch all fish from a boat. Non-contestants are not allowed in a contestant’s boat during tournament hours without the approval of the Green Pastures Director, except in the event of a emergency. Individuals who hold a current guide license/permit and have guided on Lake Alan Henry (within a one year of tournament date) are not eligible to fish as a non-member or member.
3. INDIDIUAL TOURNAMENT & YEARLY MEMBERSHIP FEES:
All Green Pastures Bass Club tournaments will be for individuals scoring and placement. Yearly membership fee is $20 per family. Tournament fee is $40 per tournament.
4. TOUNAMENT PAYOUT:
Of the tournament fee (per entry) $9 will go to the Club to assist in tournament expenses. $5 to Biggest Bass over 5 pounds (if no bass weighed over 5 pounds the pot will roll to the next tournament, if rolled until the last tournament of the year the biggest bass weighed during the last tournament will be paid), $12 per entry for 1st place, $9 to 2nd place, and $5 to 3rd place. There will be no refund of entry or membership fees. Entry or membership fees cannot be transferred from one individual to another.
5. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND LAKE LAWS AND RULES MUST BE OBEYED:
All members must obey all laws and lake rules. All members must possess a valid lake permit when competing in any Green Pasture Bass Club Tournament.
6. REGISTRATION:
Registration will be available at the top of the boat ramp prior to tournament. Early registration may be available. You MUST call a tournament director by 8:00 AM if you are running late. You will be officially registered after your entry has been paid.
7. LAUNCHING AND TRAILERING:
Contestants may launch from any public or private boat ramp on the tournament lake to which they have legal access. Trailering before the weigh in is permitted if your live well system is adequate to maintain the fish in healthy condition.
8. TACKLE AND TROLLING
Only artificial baits may be used (pork rind trailers are the only exception). Trolling with the combustion engine is not allowed. No limit on the number of rods on deck, maximum of two rods in use by contestants.
9. GIVING ASSISTANCE:
Entered contestants in any boat may assist another contestant in that same boat in landing or netting fish. No contestant can leave the boat to land a fish. Landing nets are permitted. Emergency assistance is always permitted.
10. WEIGH IN:
Weigh in will start at 2:30pm. Contestants must be on the crappie dock before the tournament end time. All bass must be brought to the scales in a weigh bag. Only largemouth black bass, Kentucky spotted bass and smallmouth bass caught on artificial bait will be weighed in. contestants attempting to weigh in fish that violate any law, or the tournament / lake rules will be culled by tournament officials (example under 18” ) with a 1 pound stringer penalty. Contestants attempting to weigh in over 2 under 18" Largemouth bass will be culled biggest under fish first and continuing until contestant as only two under bass. If a contestant attempt to weigh in over 5 bass the tournament officials will cull starting with the biggest bass until contestant is compliant with tournament / lake rules. No iced, frozen, or pale gilled fish will be weighed. Dead bass will be weighed and a 1 pound penalty (per fish) will be accessed. All bass except trophy bass will become the property of Green Pastures Bass Club for live release. All ties will be decided by a coin toss. All decisions of the weigh master are final. Protest must be submitted in writing no later than 15 minutes after the close of weigh-in.
11. MAXIMUM STRINGER:
Maximum stringer is “Lake Rules” five bass. It is the contestants’ responsibility to read, know and follow lake rules. All lake rules in regard to size/length and limit will be strictly followed.
12. BOATS, MOTORS, AND SAFETY:
Any boat may be utilized if it meets all state and local legal requirements. All boats should have an adequate, functioning live well. Coast Guard approved life vests must be worn while the combustion engine is running. All boats must have a working “kill” switch attached to the driver when the boat is on plane. NOTE: The green Pastures Bass Club its Officers, Directors or members will not be held responsible for boating, water, travel or any other accidents. Each contestant is responsible for his or her actions, including situations that result from inclement weather. It is each contestant’s own personal decision to travel and/or fish any tournaments regardless of weather conditions. Green Pastures Bass club does not encourage anyone to take any risks to participate in any on their tournaments.
13. NARCOTICS AND ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES:
At no time during tournament hours are any alcoholic beverages or drugs other than prescription are allowed in the boat nor are they to be consumed during official tournament hours.
14. SPORTSMANSHIP:
No fishing is allowed within 50 yards of another contestant’s boat that is anchored or tied or has its trolling motor in the stored position without the expressed consent of its occupants. No ladder or platforms used for sight fishing will be allowed on any contestant’s boat during tournament hours. “Hole holding” is not allowed. Anyone displaying poor sportsmanship, breaking any Federal, State, Local, Lake or Tournament laws or rules will forfeit their entry fees. They may also, at the discretion of the tournament officials be disqualified from this and/or future Green Pastures Bass Club Tournaments.
15. CONTESTANTS AGE:
Contestants under 18 years of age may enter and fish ONLY if accompanied by their parent, grandparent, or legal guardian. And tournament application is truthfully completed and signed by such parent, grandparent, or legal guardian. The Jr Division will be 17 years of age and under.
16. ON THE LAKE:
Directors will be on the lake during tournament hours. All contestants are required to cooperate with inspection requests and comply with instructions given by the tournament officials regarding rules and regulation. If contestants are found to be in violation of stringer limits the official may cull beginning with the biggest bass.
17. PUBLICATION RIGHTS:
By signing the membership form, each contestant agrees to allow Green Pastures Bass Club to have the sole and exclusive right to take and publish photographs, motion pictures, voice recordings, and / or video footage of him/her as a contestant and all material or disposal of it in any legal manner without further permission or compensation to the contestant.
18. PREFISHING:
Contestants may pre-fish the lake the day before the tournament day. Guides may not be hired, fished with, consulted or followed during practice or tournament fishing.
19. FISHING HOURS:
Fishing hours will be from tournament starting time to weigh in starting time (See Tournament List).
20. ADVERSE WEATHER – TOURNAMENT STARTS AND CONCELLATIONS:
In case of adverse weather it is the individuals’ decision to fish or not. If a tournament is to be cancelled it will be done before the tournament starting time. Once a tournament starts it will completed with a weigh in. It will be the individuals’ decision to finish a tournament once it starts. The tournament directors can start weigh in early but cannot extend beyond tournament end time.
21. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT “CLANNAHAN CLASSIC” QUALIFICATIONS:
All members who fish in a total of five (5) club tournaments during the tournament year will be eligible to fish in the “Clannahan Classic”. The top ten anglers will receive an award.
The winner of the “Clannahan Classic” will receive life time club membership, his/her name on a plaque located at Ziska's On the Brazos and 1st place prize fund. The Green Pastures Bass Club will retain $300 in its account at all times to be used for unforeseen expense (new scales ect…) all other remaining annual funds will be used as prize fund for the “Clannahan Classic”. 1st Place will receive 50% of prize fund, 2nd place 30% and 3rd place 20%.

22. Youth under the age 14, no entry fee, pay out is $5.00 

23. CLUB DIRECTORS:
Club directors Boyd Gibbs, Glen McCullough, Kerry Miller, and Dustin Gilliam retain all rights to the club and will make all decision for and about the club. In the event that a director quits or leaves, a new director will be appointed to fill the chair. Duties of Directors – Boyd Gibbs President, internet and standings, Glen McCullough V-P, Kerry Miller and Aaron Cash, co treasures and will maintain all monies and payouts. Official Club Weigh Masters Gary Goade,  will operate the scales and do any measuring of bass, they will also make rulings on legality of bass weighed in by contestant.
